The Booker Prize 1998

6 shortlisted · 1 winner. This cycle’s shortlist is the whole of what we hold — the Booker published no longlist before 2001.

Your local bookshop first — a book in your hand beats one in transit, and we earn nothing when you buy that way. Then Bookshop.org, which sells online and passes a share of its profits to independent shops. Then Amazon, which carries everything here too. We earn a commission on both of those links; neither is charity. Same book either way.
