The back catalogue

Every winner since 1969.

60 Booker winners across 57 years, 10 International Booker winners, and one Lost Man Booker.

Official Booker Prize site

A note on completeness: the Booker did not publish a longlist before 2001, and for most earlier years we hold the winning book alone — 1 of 60 winners sit in a cycle where we also hold other nominated books. Where a year links through, that page shows what we have; where it doesn't, the winner below is the whole of our record for that year. Page counts and editions for the back catalogue are still being filled in, which is why most entries have no retailer link yet.

The Booker Prize

The International Booker Prize

Awarded for a single translated novel since 2016. The 2005–2015 award honoured a body of work rather than one book, so it is a different prize and is not listed here.

The Lost Man Booker Prize

A one-off awarded in 2010 to novels published in 1970, which fell through an eligibility-rule change when the prize moved from retrospective to same-year judging. The 1970 Booker itself went to Bernice Rubens.
